That day must come
"I am not carried away by illusions at all. I know what the Armenian-Turkish relationship has said.
I know how deep the hostility and hatred between those two peoples are.
I know, too, what sorrow there is in the heart of every Armenian.
But I also know that it is necessary for our own interests, for the very future of the Armenian people, that a tolerable way of life be created between Armenia and Turkey.
And I am convinced that that day will come. When, how - I do not know.
But that day must come.
And truly realistic and far-sighted figures must work to bring that day closer.
Politicians must be able to overcome feelings and prejudices and "to rise above crowd logic."

Which two Armenias are to be united?
“Where is the “united” Armenia, you ask? Do the Bolsheviks have that demand on their banner?
They don’t.
And what prospects do we have to continue on repeating that demand in our party decisions? Is it a serious political demand, or a meaningless formulation that we repeat only to console ourselves and warm our hearts? What content does that demand have today, in June 1923, in the face of the exterminated Turkish-Armenians and the victorious Turkey?
Which two Armenias are to be united?
Let’s try to be more honest. Isn’t that the first duty of a statesman?

The enemy of the Republic is the enemy of Armenians

Յովհաննէս Քաջազնունու “Դաշնակցությունը անելիք չունի այլեւս” գրութեանը որ ուղարկուած էր կուսակցութեան ընդհանուր ժողովին, կը պատասխանէ NN անունով մէկը ուր ըստ երեւոյթին ան կը քննադատէ եւ անհամաձայն կը գտնուի Քաջազնունու այդ մտորումներուն եւ առաջարկներուն: Ի պատասխան այդ քննադատութեան Քաջազնունին կը գրէ այլ նամակ մը: Ստորեւ հատուածներ այդ պատասխան նամակէն:

Քաջազնունիի պատմական մէկ ճառին ընթացքին՝ խօսուած Նիւ Եորքի միթինկի մը մէջ, 1919 ի դեկտեմբերին, կարգ մը յատկնշական միտքեր:
“-Ահռելի զոհողութիւնների, անասելի տանջանքների ու զրկանքների, արիւնահեղ կռիվների ու յամառ աշխատանքի գնով հաստատւել է այսօր Արարատեան դաշտի վրայ ու նրա շուրջը Հայաստանի Հանրապետութիւնը:
-Այսօր Հայաստանի Հանրապետութիւնն է, ուր մենք պէտք է որոնենք եւ գտնենք մեր փրկութիւնը, մեր դարաւոր տենչերի իրագործումը: Այստեղ է որ հայ ցեղը պէտք է կեդրոնացնէ այսօր իր ամբողջ ուշադրութիւնը, իր միտքն ու հոգին, իր ստեղծագործական բոլոր կորովը:
-Հանրապետութեան թշնամին Հայութեան թշնամին է:
-Հայը, որ կը յանդգնի խէթ աչքով նայելու Հանրապետութեան վրայ, դավաճան է Հայկական մեծ դատի:
-Խմբվել՝ անկեղծօրէն ու անվերապահօրէն՝ Հանրապետութեան շուրջը, ոյժ եւ կենսունակութիւն տալ նրան-ահա օրուայ պահանջը, ահա ամէն հայի սրբազան պարտքը:
-Հանրապետութիւնը կազմակերպման շրջանի մէջ է: Նա կարօտ է բարեացակամութեան եւ գործօն օգնութեան, մանաւանդ որ կազմակերպվում է այնպիսի դժոխային պայմանների մէջ, որի նմանը թերեւս չի տեսած պատմութիւնը:
-Այս օգնութիւնն է որ մենք եկել ենք որոնելու հեռաւոր Ամերիկայում:”
